The request for translation check of "Kamisama no birthday" lyrics / 「神さまのバースデー」の翻訳チェック募集
I want the translation check of "Kamisama no birthday" lyrics by English speaker.
If original title "神さまのバースデー" were translated literally, it would be translated as "The Birthday of god". Perhaps the title was named to loosen up the atmosphere of Christianity, or named to be childlike and cute phrase.
However, if it was hidden references to the Christian god, I guess that it's mistaken to describe Christmas day as the birthday of god. So I have translated the title as "The Blessed Birthday" after wavering. What do you think about this?
As you may already know, Japanese Christmas have little religious atmosphere. And many Japanese people don't know North European Yule and ancient Roman Saturnalia. So they have a vague sense that the custom of Christmas day purely comes from Christianity.
P.S.
In Project-iM@S • View topic - iM@S Lyrics, I asked for nowano's advice and rewrote following translation. I will let this go at this.

I wonder if the rainy sky will turn white. At this time of year that can create the greatest situation, I have the final scene in mind, and what I need is you. 'Cause the color of the city changes in December, even my hopes and fears melt into it. Today's the chance. Catch me. I'm waiting for you here. That is what I have always been dreaming of. Let’s celebrate the blessed birthday. Everyone is special and able to be the main character.. Strain your ears. You might hear a bell ring. Please be more serious slightly than usual. Normally not interested in church, but now you're humming a carol. You’re inconsistent, aren't you? Today's the chance. I'm waiting for you, wearing a veil. If you notice this dream, show me your plain smile. When it stops raining, the silent night comes. Tommorrow will be repainted by using all white paints. Let’s pray for our future history. The dream will come true, I believe, let the winter be passionate. ローマ字は原則にのっとって「バースデー」を「baasudee」としたんですが、それじゃあんまりだと言う事で、Birthday表記のことが多いのかも知れません。

この後知った事ですが、キリスト教の三位一体説においてキリストは神であり(神も精霊も神。3=1であり論理的にはとらえられない存在)、クリスマスはキリストの降誕の日であるので、"The Birthday of god"でも問題ないようです。
