英語字幕コミュ動画プロジェクト

動画作成・翻訳・翻訳チェックしてくれる方を募集中です。このプロジェクトはこのブログ上で、不特定多数の参加者によって進められます。

このサイトの大目的は、英語字幕つきコミュ動画の作成です。外国語圏にもネットなどでアイマスを知っている人が大勢いますが、多くの人はキャラの性格までは知りません。熱心にイラストやPVを楽しんでいる人でも、千早の両親が不仲なことや、覚醒美希がプロデューサーにやたら積極的なことは知らなかったりするわけです。

もしコミュ動画の英訳があれば、キャラの性格や基本的なストーリーなど、アイドルマスターの世界観の把握がぐっと容易になるはずです。海外にアイマスの楽しい世界観を伝えてみませんか？

ゲームを販売していない英語圏向けにアイマスの宣伝をしてどうすんのという向きもありましょうが、英語ファンサイトでは日本語版のゲームを購入している猛者もいますし、多少はPRになっているようです。そもそもコミュ動画だけ見ても面白いのですから、おとがめがない限り良いことではないでしょうか。

もし「英語が分からないので……」という方！　分担作業なので、動画制作は英語が分からなくても大丈夫だと思います。自分で翻訳できるほどの英語力では無い方も、翻訳チェックで日本人としての知識を活かしてみませんか。少しの作業でもけっこうですので、ご協力お待ちしています。

翻訳

このサイトのお好きな動画を選んでください。該当の動画だけが表示されるページで、訳文をコメント欄に投稿してください。例として雪歩 - ランク外「ミーティング」のようにして頂ければ。基本的にすべてのコメント欄に、nukopiさんが提供してくださった台詞の日本語テキストがあります。

どの動画が翻訳されているかは、翻訳待ちリストからリンクされた各アイドルの進行状況ページの表で確認できます。英語コンテンツからも確認できます。

また、これとは別のプロジェクト（Idolmaster SP - TLWiki）にすでに翻訳があるかもしれません。ちょっと探しにくいのですがリンク先の「Scripts」の項から辿れます。

今までの傾向として、日本語を母語とする人が喋りの柔らかい亜美真美や美希のコミュを翻訳するのは大変なようです。喋りの堅い雪歩・あずさ・律子などのコミュは、直しが少なくてすむことが多いです。千早は意図的な堅い話し方の表現が求められ、それはそれで難しさがあるかもしれません。

翻訳のチェック

訳文は他の人のチェックが入ってから字幕用の完成原稿としたいので、積極的にチェックをしていただける方、大歓迎です。チェック待ちリストをご覧ください。

英語圏の方が翻訳すると、かなり上手い人でも、しばしば明らかに日本語の意味と違う訳文ができてくることがあります。それを指摘したり、代わりの表現を提案する作業です。おそらく翻訳者より低い英語力でなんとかなるでしょう。高校生レベルでいけると思います。

今のところ、日本語が母語の人（日本人）のチェッカーはとても貴重な存在です。私はウェブ辞書英辞郎を使ったり、ウェブ検索でどのくらい使われてる表現なのかを調べたりしながら、なんとかやっています。

動画の制作

英語は分からなくて大丈夫です。English front pageから辿れる各アイドルの「Japanese video and English text」のページに英訳コメントがされていますので、それを使って字幕つきコミュを制作してください。

動画制作にこれといったフォーマットは設けていませんが、一応の目安として「画像サイズ384×512pixel・ビットレート（画像+音で）600kbps程度」以上の高画質だとありがたいです。

他の人と作業がかち合わないようにするには、このブログで、手をつけはじめたコミュのエントリーに、「I am going to make a subbed video for this communication if no one is doing it now.」（他にやっている人がいなければ、私は今このコミュの字幕動画を制作する予定です。）とコメントしておくといいと思います。

完成後、ニコニコ動画かYouTubeにアップしていただけると助かります（ご面倒ならこちらでやります）。英語圏の方向けにはYouTubeでないとまず観てもらえませんが、ニコニコ動画のほうが上げやすい方も多いでしょうし、ブログ等で紹介するとき高画質で紹介しやすいです。

ちなみに誰か一人がひとりのアイドルの字幕を受け持つのは到底無理だと思われますので、他の人が手がけているアイドルでもまったく遠慮なく字幕制作してください。

Translater, translation checker and subber are now wanted ! Any little work would be appreciated. Our project is conducted on this blog by the general public.

The largest purpose of this site is making English subtitled IM@S (THE IDOLM@STER) communication event videos.

To my knowledge, the release IM@S game for English-speaking countries is not planned now. But in 2009 1/22, however in japanese language, PSP software THE IDOLM@STER SP will be released. There seems to be the overseas buyers accordingly this time. I'm sure any guide for THE IDOLM@STER SP will be made at English forum about IDOLM@STER. The name recognition of IM@S itself is high. New game will get a good plug by communication event videos.

In the first place, just watching IM@S communication events is interesting. Probably, there are quite many people who became Hwang of Im@s from those videos with Im@s MAD. NAMCO BANDAI Games is also developing the business model based on this situation, and I think that a copyright problem will not arise probably.

Translation of original videos

The works of our project are conducted on comment fields of this blog.

Please go to Requests for Translating, and jump to each idol's page about progress (like as the page about progress of Haruka's video), and you will know which video have transcribed, translated, or subbed (if I haven't neglect updating).

There are links to each video entry page in the table of progress. Then please pick the favorite video. In the page that only an objective video is displayed, please submit your translation to the comment field (Ex. Yukiho - Out of Rank "Meeting"). Basically, all video entries have the transcription of Japanese manuscript that were presented by nukopi.

Moreover, a project different from this (Idolmaster SP - TLWiki) may already have translations of your favorite video. It's somewhat hard to look for them, but can trace them from a clause of "Scripts".

Translation check

The works of our project are conducted on comment fields of this blog.

In Requests for Check list, there are videos that need someone's check. Then please check the translation on the comment field of each video entry page, and reply (like as this example page).

It's preferred that translated texts are checked by other person. So aggressive check of translation is welcome.

It will be helpful even if you say "This translation is okay, I think".

Subbing and Uploading videos

The works of our project are conducted on comment fields of this blog.

First, please go to English front page. And go to each idol's front page. And go to "Japanese video and English text" pages. There are translation texts on comment fields of the video-entries. By using those texts, please create subtitled videos.

Please use the checked traslations. The checked traslations are often after the first traslation comments. The links above videos like "（English Translation）" lead to the checked traslations.

You have to download the video file from Nico Nico Douga.Craving Explorer is YouTube & Nico Nico Douga download browser. I'm Mac user, so I am downloading the clips from Nico using Safari.（ref. How to use Nico Nico Douga）

If the conflict of the work is to be avoided, please submit any comment like "I am going to make a subbed video for this communication if no one is doing it now." to the entry.

After completion, It would be helpful if you could upload the video to YouTube.

There're no format in particular, but it's preferable that image size of the file is bigger than 512*384pix and the bit rate(movie+audio) is around 600kbps or more.
